Ferrous Sulphate Monohydrate

Ferrous Sulphate is also called Iron(II) Sulphate or Iron(2+) Sulphate. It is found in various hydrated forms, with the heptahydrate being the most common. It is a common byproduct when producing steel or titanium dioxide.

Ferrous sulphate in the monohydrate form is often used to treat iron-deficiency anaemia in living organisms. As a solid mineral it is easily dosaged and added into animal feed as a micronutrient or nutraceutical.
