Zinc sulphate is an inorganic compound and dietary supplement. As a supplement it is used to treat zinc deficiency. It was historically known as “white vitriol” and is a colourless solid.

Besides Zinc being a necessary element for life, its sulphates can counteract several common livestock diseases such as the common hoof foot rot. It also can control the growth of bacteria in substances.
