Polycarboxylate Ether (Aqueous)

Polycarboxylates are linear polymers that have a very high molecular weight. Typically this molecular weight is more that 100,000 g/mol.

Whilst Polycarboxylates have functions in detergents, the Polycarboxylate Ethers (PCE) as used as superplasticizers in the production of concrete.  They can be used in powder form or aqueous solutions as dispersing agents.

PCEs are not only used as water reducers, but also fulfill valuable functions when it comes to self leveling properties, fluidity, slump retention, and high early strengths.
