Peptides (Plant)

A Peptide is small molecule of protein, or amino acid. Peptides are distinguished from proteins only in terms of size, as they both consist of amino acids. It is easy to absorb by a living organism. 

Plants that have high protein content such as soy, walnuts, lentils, can be hydrolyzed to into small molecules, peptides, which in turn can be added into food products as a additives and functional ingredients. 

Plant peptides can provide health benefits to the consumer.
