Calcium Lignosulfonate

Calcium Lignosulfonate is a yellow brown powder that is extracted from the sulfite pulping of wood. It is completely soluble in water and virtually insoluble in organic solvents.

In the construction industry its use has the beneficial effects of retarding the setting time and reducing the amount of mixing water necessary. Furthermore, greater workability of plastic concrete during its placement in formworks is a result of using Calcium Lignosulfonate
