Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate is commonly used water reducer or superplasticizer in the production of concrete admixtures and drymix products. By reducing the amount of water needed in admixtures, the density of the concrete mixture is increased, increasing the quality.
It increases the workability of concrete and mortar, whilst minimising the set retardation. Other effects include better weather resistance, improved flexural strength and a reduction in shrink cracking.
